PMRF Fellowship 2025

When I first came across the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF), I thought it was just for IIT toppers. But after speaking with a few scholars and digging into the application process, I realized that this fellowship is one of the most generous and prestigious PhD opportunities in India — open to students from multiple institutes, not just IITs.

Launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, PMRF is designed to attract the best talent into research careers by providing high-value fellowships and access to the best infrastructure in IITs, IISc, NITs, and IISERs.
