📝 Exam Pattern & Scheme

The FET is a computer-based test (CBT) designed to evaluate the candidate’s proficiency in their chosen sub-specialty.

  • Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

  • Total Time: 105 minutes (1 hour 45 minutes).

  • Exam Timing: 09:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

  • Marking Scheme: * +4 marks for every correct answer.

    • -1 mark for every incorrect answer (Negative Marking).

  • Qualifying Criteria: Candidates must secure a minimum of the 50th percentile in their respective specialty to qualify for counseling.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a recognized postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or post-doctoral degree (DM/MCh/DrNB) in the concerned specialty.

  • Cut-off Date: The candidate must have passed the qualifying degree on or before December 31, 2025.

  • Registration: Must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council (SMC).

  5. Fee Payment: Pay the examination fee (approx. ₹3500 + GST) via online mode.

  • Stipend: Candidates receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹1 Lakh to ₹1.25 Lakh, depending on the institution’s rules.
